

Developing a Safe, Effective Formula
Ray and Nick are both lovers of wholesome lifestyles and “life hacks”. Their interest in developing a deodorant free of aluminum, cancer-causing toxins, and untested chemicals began with a shared spark of inspiration from an episode of the Becoming Superhuman podcast, which caused them to reconsider the contents of their bath-and-body products. Ray started brewing coconut oil and beeswax concoctions to replace his store-bought deodorant, and found them to be conscience-appeasing, but shrug-worthy alternatives. Once Ray’s inventive zeal was bolstered by Nick’s scientific prowess, however, more intriguing formulas began to emerge. After months of experiments, chemical analysis, and hunting for the best and safest natural scents, Nick and Ray were able to distill their formula down to six simple, hard-working ingredients (or five ingredients, if you don’t count the scents).

Meet the Team

Raynard Alexander, Co-founder
Ray has been a serial entrepreneur since he was a very young man. Coupled with an engineering background and a willingness to try anything once, the result is a dynamic character that, like a door-to-door salesman, just won’t quit.

Nicholas Jones, Co-founder
Nick has a PhD in materials science focused on magnetic nanoparticle research for cancer thermotherapy. When not pursuing fundamental scientific truths, he can also be found baking and cooking, or studying Eastern musical notation systems. He is also a subdeacon of the Orthodox Church in America.

Jannica “Sophia” Porcu, Multimedia Designer
Sophia has fourteen years of experience as a freelance artist-designer-photographer triple-threat. She is the senior art director for the Christian sci-fi/fantasy convention Doxacon and develops tabletop games with her husband. Extracurricularly, Sophia delights in all manner of creation, ancient wisdom from old books, and liturgical jokes.

Myk Jones, Marketing Strategy Consultant
Mike spells his name “Myk” because it looks good on bowling scoreboards when he bowls once every two years. He has a tireless creative mind currently trapped in the body of a deskbound pencil-pusher. He is working on creative projects for kids involving songs, stories, science and pictures that someone else has to draw because he is not so skilled with the pencils and paints.

Katie Jones, Head of Customer Relations
Katie is a yoga enthusiast who would be really enthused if she could find enough time to practice yoga! She has her hands full being a mother of three, a nurse, and a massage therapist (“hands full” — get it?) with an interest in holistic medicine, natural solutions, and natural products. She has a strong desire to help the environment and is vegan unless the kids didn’t finish their mac ‘n’ cheese.
